In my doctoral studies at the Sibelius Academy (Uniarts, Helsinki) I am interested in how to promote students' self-directed music-making and intrinsic motivation.

 

The practical outcome of my research is an in-service model for instrumental teachers that will give them practical tools to critically re-examine and develop their pedagogical thinking and practice in collaboration with their colleagues.
