I am a 55-year old saxophonist born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. I look at the field of music from three different perspectives: as a freelance musician, saxophone teacher (Pop & Jazz Conservatory), and doctoral researcher (Sibelius-Academy, Uniarts). On this homepage, you will find information on each of these themes.

I live in the suburb of Käpylä with my wife Sari and our dog Pami. I have four already adult children: Veera, Ella, Hilda, and Edvin. To get to know me a little better on a personal level, please run through the Slide Deck Gallery.
